New Product Coming Soon from Vince Offer Shlomi?

What's next for Vince from Slap Chop?Your Savvy Shopper always keeps an ear to the ground. I’ve recently heard rumors that Vince Shlomi, AKA Vince Offer, AKA Vince from ShamWow and Slap Chop, AKA Square One Entertainment, is negotiating behind-the-scenes with DRTV companies to assist him in marketing a brand-new product. I don’t have any details regarding the product or when it will launch, but I’ll keep you posted as we learn more. Over a year has elapsed since Vince’s altercation with a hooker in Miami, Florida. Since Shlomi’s media profile is not nearly that of a misbehaving celebrity like Tiger Woods, I’d be surprised if many TV viewers are aware of this mutual assault and near-arrest. It’s not expected to affect the public’s acceptance of a new pitch from this unconventional yet very successful pitchman.

Slap Chop Remix to become Real TV Commercial

According to celebrity website TMZ.com, the Slap Chop Rap Remix that’s been around for awhile has been reworked into an actual TV spot that just hit the airwaves. If you see the spot on the tube, let us know. Can this revive the Slap Chop’s saggy sales?

Billy Mays Brings Back the Quick Chop to Slap Down Vince Offer

After seeing Billy May’s spot for Quick Chop, I totally understand why he was a mite peeved at Vince Offer about knocking off his products. Just like with Sham Wow, which lifted many of the demonstrations directly from Zorbeez, Slap Chop uses many of the same demos as the earlier-produced Quick Chop commercial. Chopping multiple ingredients simultaneously to make salad, chopping nuts and cookies for ice cream, removing skin from garlic, making salsa. Quick Chop is also shown chopping ice. I tried this today with my Slap Chop and the results were not impressive. I got some chopped ice, but big chunks of cubes remained after vigorous quicking, I mean slapping. I’ll be anxious to get a Quick Chop and compare. In terms of product design, Quick Chop doesn’t have butterfly hinging Slap Chop, but I’m not sure it’s all the hard to clean. Plus, you get two Quick Chops for the price of one (if you pay the ever-present processing and handling).

Of course, Vince’s pitching style is radically different from Billy’s. And perhaps more importantly, there have been synthetic chamois and vegetable choppers around since long before either of these pitchmen hit the scene. Oh, I forgot, Vince insists he’s not a pitchman. He is a important film director who pitches products as a hobby when he’s not making movies and beating up hookers. Vince, we’re sure that someone would pay to see the sequel to The Underground Comedy Movie.

It would be really entertaining if Vince would show in an episode of Discovery Channel’s Pitchmen and have a showdown with Billy. But we’re not holding our breath for that.

Wow, Vince is a Sham. The ShamWow Guy Arrested for Slap Chopping Hooker

Vince Offer Sham Wow Guy Beats Up Hooker

We’re in deep shock this evening. Our hero has feet of clay. The Smoking Gun reveals the sordid truth of Vince Offer‘s arrest last month in Miami for battering a hooker in a South Beach hotel room. The story according to Vince:

Shlomi told cops he paid Harris about $1000 in cash after she “propositioned him for straight sex.” Shlomi said that when he kissed Harris, she suddenly “bit his tongue and would not let go.” Shlomi then punched Harris several times until she released his tongue.

Not a pretty picture. Is this Vince’s Pee Wee Herman moment? Is his career as super-pitchman now over? Guess she didn’t love his nuts. Any, he didn’t have a boring hooker.

We Make Lunch with Vince’s Slap Chop and You Can Watch

If you saw our Slap Chop Unboxing post, you know we previously received our Slap Chop and unpacked it for use. We thought it might be fun to put it to the test by preparing a simple three-course luncheon with the aid of Vince Offer’s magic chopper. Vince promises us the Slap Chop will endow us with an exciting life. So how did it perform?

We’re happy to say that the Slap Chop performs pretty much as advertised. You push down on the plunger and foods get chopped. The blade is sharp. While it’s not by any means a precision instrument, the Slap Chop seems plenty sturdy and its butterfly hinge makes it easy to clean. Our major mistake was not re-watching the commercial before we started. Perhaps with some study we could have replicated Vince’s trick of removing onion and garlic skins in one piece. We do think it’s possible to accomplish this feat outside of the TV studio, so we’ll try again next time we chop. Bet Vince didn’t get it on the first try.

We always aim to prepare tasty and healthy meals. Ours is not the home of the boring tuna. So our lives may not be radically transformed due to this kitchen gadget, but we’re pleased to report that the Slap Chop did its job admirably. And we thoroughly enjoyed the gastronomic results. On today’s menu: Tuna salad sandwiches on focaccia, using quality Italian canned tuna in olive oil, homemade salsa with organic multi-grain chips, and vanilla yogurt topped with nuts, berries and dark chocolate. Yes, it was delicious.

Why should unboxing be just for computers and gadgets? If you thought that the Slap Chop commercial was just performance art, you need to know that the latest product from Vince Offer (the ShamWow guy) is very, very real. We ordered ours back in December on the first day we saw it advertised. It arrived about a month later. Now it’s well past the ides of March and we’re just now posting the pix here. This is a direct result of personal lameness. We didn’t want to post the photos until we chose and installed a WordPress photo gallery plugin. This meant we really should upgrade WordPress to the latest version, but we have been too busy/lazy to do so. Until today.

We did make a meal recently where every course was prepared with the Slap Chop, and of course we documented the process with photos. Look for that gallery soon.

If you make the life-enhancing decision to banish boring tuna from your life and become a proud member of the Order of the Slap Chop, please support our site by using this link:

Billy Mays to Vince Offer: “I’m Coming After You!”

Animation courtest of DNfromMN

Your normally reliable Savvy Shopper has let you down. While we’ve been busy with frivolous activities like trying to make a living, we missed the news of a in-person confrontation between Billy Mays and Vince Offer in a luxury suite during the recent Super Bowl. Apparently Billy is still mad about Vince creating a knock-off of Zorbeez. We’re sure it made Billy especially mad when Vince’s ShamWow was named the greatest As Seen On TV product of all time.

On February 10, Billy went on Adam Carolla’s radio show (listen below) and talked some serious trash, calling the Slap Chop a Crap Chop. While telling Adam that “I’m a lover, not a fighter,” Billy has challenged Vince to a “pitch-off,” anytime, anywhere. We can’t wait to see what happens next. Will Vince make Billy love his nuts?

CNBC Interviews Vince Offer and he is not the next Billy Mays

Vince Offer

Vince Offer (real name Offer Shlomi) has been pretty media-shy lately, but he did agree to an interview yesterday with CNBC, whose viewers deemed ShamWow the best As Seen On TV product of all-time.

Lots of interesting tidbits here, but it really caught our attention when Vince was asked if he’s the next Billy Mays.

“I don’t want to be. I’m in the film business, this is not my career.”

So we guess that ShamWow and Slap Chop profits are going to be funding The Underground Comedy Movie 2. At least Vince can’t sue Anna Nicole Smith this time around.

Slap Chop As Seen on TV

Vince says, Dont have a boring tuna.
Vince says, “Don’t have a boring tuna.”

So far we’ve only seen the Slap Chop commercial on the web. But a semi-literate blogger just saw it on TV, so it is out there. If you see it, please post a comment and tell us the channel and time. Also, we’d love to know if the “You’re gonna love my nuts!” line made it into the TV-ready version of the spot.

I am confused when the poster states they don’t know where to buy the Slap Chop online. Did they think about trying slapchop.com?
