Stayin’ Alive, Disco Anthem of the Nightlife

Who can forget the Bee Gees fantastic soaring falsettos singing “Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk, I’m a woman’s man, no time to talk”? It was 1977, John Travolta was strutting his bad self on the disco floor and everyone was catching Saturday Night Fever. Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb wrote, produced and performed the movie soundtrack, and “Stayin’ Alive” told the story of survival in the big city — any big city — but especially New York.
