Billy Mays Died Five Years Ago, Shoes Still Not Filled

We Miss Billy MaysFive years have passed, and we still miss Billy Mays. Death took him at the apex of his career, and it’s hard not to wonder what he’d be doing today if he was still with us. So far, no one has inherited the mantle of his blue shirt, not Anthony “Sully” Sullivan, nor Vince Offer.

Perhaps it was Billy’s winning combination of catchy wordplay and basic integrity that made him the premier pitchman – to quote Billy: “My voice, my likeness is my livelihood. That’s it. I keep it simple. I pick good products. I don’t take on a product unless I believe in it. I use everything that I sell.” We’re still waiting to hear the magic words: “Hi, Billy Mays here for reincarnation.” In the meantime, at least we can still watch Billy in some of his best commercials.
