New Product Tuesday with ISO7X Isometric Workout

What’s old is new again. Isometric exercise has its roots in the Physical Culture movement of the 19th century, and in a modified form was promoted as Dynamic Tension by fitness legend Charles Atlas throughout most of the 20th century. According to Wikipedia,

Isometric exercise or “isometrics” are a type of strength training in which the joint angle and muscle length do not change during contraction (compared to concentric or eccentric contractions, called dynamic/isotonic movements). Isometrics are done in static positions, rather than being dynamic through a range of motion. The joint and muscle are either worked against an immovable force (overcoming isometric) or are held in a static position while opposed by resistance (yielding isometric).

The motto of isometrics should be “resistance is NOT futile.” ISO7X is a piece of fitness equipment mated with an exercise program that promises to mold you into an incredible hunk in just ten minutes a day of resistance exercises, each held for seven seconds. Is it too late for your Savvy Shopper to get revenge against that bully who kicked sand in my face all those years ago?

  4. I have 2 of these. I bought the 2nd one yesterday for $19.95 at Sports Authority. I have used this system since 1968 (Tensolator/Bullworker/X-5/Steel-Bow),same soup, different can. Great for rehab and strength building. Nearly impossible to overdo
or overuse it. The way I use it is: I perform 10 reps of an exercise and hold the compression or expansion for a count of 10,and move to the next exercise. I have about 44 different exercises, some from the chart and some I adapted on my own. With a little imagination and web research, you can find many different uses for the unit. The function and quality is every bit as good as the original Bullworker.

  5. Customer Service stinks
I got one as a gift, when I opened it and started using it i found that the Chart depictions and the written explanations didn’t match and there were duplicates
Tried to get an updated chart but was told that I needed a receipt i mentioned that the person who gave the gift did not have the receipt
Was told in no uncertain terms that, then i had no chance of getting a new chart
They screwed up but wont give me a new chart
    Nice
