f you’re a middle aged man with reduced energy and sex drive, your interest may have been piqued recently by “Is It Low T” commercials advertising a topical testosterone gel available through prescription only. Those commercials don’t tell you about potential scary side effects. But there are alternatives to prescription testosterone therapy. Ageless Male is a dietary supplement which claims to boost testosterone levels by up to 61% using a proprietary herbal blend of saw palmetto and astaxanthin. This supplement is endorsed by 56-year-old neurosurgeon Dr. Jacob Rosenstein, who credits Ageless Male for his transformation from blubbery schlub to hunky stud. It’s unclear why a spinal surgeon is an expert in hormone replacement therapy, but your Savvy Shopper is the same age as Dr. Jake and I’d love to be that buff. If you’re suffering through andropause, feeling old and decrepit and wondering if you might have Low T, Ageless Male may worth consideration. Here’s where to find out more about Ageless Male.

The push up is the Rodney Dangerfield of exercises. It just doesn’t get any respect. Instead of being valued for its ability to benefit muscle groups throughout the body, it’s often used as sadistic punishment by gym teachers and drill sergeants. The new Push Up Pump exercise machine is on a mission to get the push up the fitness respect it justly deserves.
Push Up Pump aims to supercharge your push up, simultaneously engaging muscles all over your body and achieving an entire core workout in just five minutes a day. Watch the video to see how the three different hand positions provide support and targeted isolation to work your back, shoulders, chest, biceps, arms and calves. Three color-coded resistance cables provide additional resistance as your strength increases. Can Push Up Pump really provide the benefits of a whole room of fitness equipment? Try it for 30 days, risk-free.

My mother was an extreme germophobe. There was no five second rule in our home. If food hit the floor, it went in the trash. Immediately after entering the house, you washed your hands. Touching the garbage can could mean a change of clothes. Mom would have loved Germ Bloc. This wallet-shaped device consists of a polycarbonate plastic shell surrounding a replaceable anti-microbial pad. The idea is to hold Germ Bloc in your hand and use it to grab anything you encounter that might be contaminated with icky germs, like toilet flush handles, door knobs, trash cans and gas pumps. Germ Bloc even comes with an attachable cord reel so you can proudly hang it from your belt or purse and make the bold statement that you’re on the front lines in the war against germs. Here’s where to order Germ Bloc.

Like most people, you probably don’t put socks at the top of your holiday wish list. But if you’re a frequent flyer or artists’ model, you might want to ask Santa to drop a pair or two of Miracle Socks down the chimney this year. Remaining motionless for long periods of time increases your chances of developing dangerous blood clots in the legs, sometimes resulting in heart attack or stroke. Compression stockings like Miracle Socks have been shown to improve circulation and reduce the risk of symptomless blood clots during long flights, or any time you have to sit for long periods. And Miracle Socks look just like regular socks, so no one will know you’re wearing them. Don’t depend on Santa, because he might just keep your Miracle Socks to wear on his upcoming overnight flight. Better buy a couple pair for yourself. It’s a BOGO offer. Here’s where to order Miracle Socks.

I don’t want to admit I snore at decibel levels that violate our local anti-noise ordinance, but my wife is threatening to move into the spare bedroom if I can’t find a solution. If your spouse is equally tired of your nightly impression of a 747 at takeoff, you might want to consider ZQuiet, an anti-snoring mouthpiece that claims to work instantly and solve snoring problems for 90% of those who try it. Lose the snoring, save a marriage! Here’s where to order ZQuiet.

The company behind the iRenew bracelet has made millions in the past year convincing an all-too-receptive public that a cheap wristband has the potential to increase the wearer’s balance, strength and endurance. iRenew calls it Selective Frequency Resonance (SFR), but offers no coherent explanation of how it performs its claimed energy balancing magic. Haters have complained that demonstrations of effectiveness are faked.
How does iRenew respond? They’re doubling down by hiring a big name NBA player, Boston Celtic’s point guard Rajon Rondo, to promote their new 2011 model, the iRenew Sport. This new sporty model comes in three colors, and is styled to resemble the wrist bracelets worn by hospital patients and concert goers. If you want to learn more, here’s a link to the official iRenew Sport website.

Spinal Stretch is a FDA-registered Class 1 Medical Device created by chiropractor Dr. David Starr to relieve lower back pain by achieving powerful and effective spinal decompression without surgery or hanging upside down like a bat. Looks like a well-researched and engineered product that can provide real relief. But when I watched the demonstration video below, I’ll admit I found Spinal Stretch’s ratcheting action a little scary. Can you ratchet it a step too far and injure yourself? Not according to the very informative Spinal Stretch website, where the FAQ states, “When used properly there is little chance of injury, as the pulling force cannot exceed a very safe 30-40% of your body weight. Any attempt to exceed that amount will simply result in your body sliding on the carpet.”
Spinal Stretch also has the advantage of being portable, so you can take it along while traveling. If you have a low back ailment related to spinal compression, including sciatica, spinal stenosis, facet joint syndrome, muscle spasms, herniated/bulging discs or degenerated discs, you might want to check it out.

Addiction to drugs, alcohol or smoking is a serious problem that demands serious treatment. Can you beat your addiction by yourself, in private, with the help of a dietary supplement? Seems unrealistic, but that seems to be the claim of Modera XL. The makers claim this twice-a-day powered drink mix is clinically effective in reducing cravings by balancing brain chemistry and replenishing vitamins and nutrients depleted from your use of addictive substances. We admit to a high level of skepticism, but visit the Modera XL website and read the FAQs and testimonials and decide for yourself.

Love the convenience of online holiday shopping, but hate those horrid shipping costs? Now you can get your favorite As Seen On TV products shipped FREE… from Walmart.
Walmart has kicked off the holiday season early this year by getting rid of something all online shoppers hate: shipping costs. From now until December 20th, over 60,000 products can be purchased at Walmart.com and either shipped directly to your home or the nearest Walmart store for free. Even sweeter is that unlike certain popular online shopping sites, there is no minimum purchase or annual fee required for free shipping.
If the product is marked “Free shipping to home” it will be delivered to your door 3 to 5 business days after your order is processed. If it is marked “Site to Store” Walmart sends you an email when your order is ready for pickup, usually 7 to 10 business days after order processing. Return shipping is also free, or you can return online orders to a local Walmart store. According to the company, this special free shipping offer will save Walmart customers approximately $25 million this holiday season.
So slip into your PJs, pour a glass of your favorite beverage and get your holiday shopping done without leaving the house – and without shelling out the big bucks for shipping. You can relax as the gift Camouflage Snuggie and AB Circle Pro Machine are delivered to your door. Or you can cross off all your holiday list with one-stop-shopping when you pick up the Swivel Sweeper G2 for your spouse and those cute Pillow Pets for the kids at your local Walmart. Best of all, with the money you save on shipping, you can afford that comfy Sobakawa Micro-Bead Cloud Pillow for yourself. You deserve it – your holiday shopping is done, and it’s not even Thanksgiving yet!

Dr. Drew Pinsky, the celebrity doctor who talks sex on Loveline and helps the Z-list get sober on VH1 Celebrity Rehab, wants you to keep your prescription drugs locked up safely. Not in a locked cabinet, drawer or safe, but in the Rx Locker, a small plastic box with room for four bottles of pills, secured by a combination lock. If you have reason to worry that your kids will access and abuse your medications, is this the product you would choose to secure them? Dr. Drew hopes so. Maybe you’ll be convinced when you see the Rx Locker featured on Pitchmen (September 2).
