Billy Mays Spoof from Jimmy Kimmel Live. Funny or in bad taste?

Your Savvy Shopper was playing a reunion concert with his old reggae band Friday night and missed this Billy Mays Resurrectifier commercial spoof on Jimmy Kimmel live. I’ll have to admit it’s cleverly done and includes a passable impression of Billy’s booming pitch delivery. So, do you deem this spoof to be playfully funny or does it disrespect the memory of Billy Mays?

Shame on you Jimmy Kimmel for your sick joke on Billy Mays’ death – the “Resurrectifier”. I’m really disappointed in you for using such poor taste. We miss Billy and that joke wasn’t a bit funny, and I have lost all respect for you.

I saw the Billy Mays spoof on Jimmy Kimmel and immediately thought it was the ultimate example of poor taste! Especially in light of the fact that the report is clearly nothing but speculation. I now have very little respect for Jimmy Kimmel. What a disappointment.

A true American TV icon passes and Kimmel sees fit to joke about it, badly. How much money has ABC made from Billy’s TV spots over the years? Totally classless.
