Classic stop-motion animation TV Series now on DVD
There’s something compelling about stop-motion animation. That’s why it’s still used today even though computer-generated animation has become so sophisticated. From King Kong and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to Morel Orel and Coraline, animators have patiently adjusted each element in the frame 24 times per second to create a realistic illusion of miniatures in motion.
Davey and Goliath was a television series from the 1960s commissioned by the Lutheran Church in America and created by Art and Ruth Clokey, creators of Gumby. Each episode is designed to entertain children while also delivering a moral lesson. If you remember this show from your childhood, you’ll definitely want to order this DVD set and share the magic with your children or grandchildren.
Savvy Shopper’s better half thinks that the EZ Cracker is a solution in search of a problem. She’s a gourmet cook, and can crack and separate an egg with one hand while talking on the phone and checking her email. I’m a little different. Every time I make scrambled eggs (one of the few things I actually cook), you’ll find me picking multiple pieces of egg shell out of the bowl.
So while the food prep pros among us don’t need this gadget, it looks quite useful to us culinary klutzes. Every time I watch the EZ Cracker commercial, I’m amazed by the egg separator attachment and how it catches the yolk and lets the white drain through the tiny hole in the middle. But I’m easily entertained.
I see they’re offering a free Bacon Wave with every order. I’m guessing this microwave bacon tray was not a big hit when first offered, because it’s offered as a freebie with multiple kitchen products.
On February 10, Billy went on Adam Carolla’s radio show (listen below) and talked some serious trash, calling the Slap Chop a Crap Chop. While telling Adam that “I’m a lover, not a fighter,” Billy has challenged Vince to a “pitch-off,” anytime, anywhere. We can’t wait to see what happens next. Will Vince make Billy love his nuts?
There’s really much much to say about the PupLight. It’s a headlight for your dog. It’s obviously going to keep you and your dog safer when you’re out for that midnight walk under the stars. Now we’re waiting for the doggie taillight to match.
